lecture: Fedora in education

Event_large

We have been running Fedora Workstation in our computer lab for over a year now. In this talk I will try to give an overview on some of the challenges we had and also ask the experienced community for advice on how to do it more efficiently.

At University of Novi Sad, we run Fedora in our computer lab with 25 computers. This talk will cover how we handle things like updates, moving files etc. and how it is in general to only use free open-source software in education.

I hope to hear from people who are managing large number of machines what are doing wrong and how to improve our classroom even further.

We also have some future plans about meta-packages for students, Fedora spins specifically for students we would like to present.
